What is a podcast?

It's an audio file you can request to be automatically delivered to you. You can play it on your computer, burn it to a CD or listen to it on an MP3 player (like an iPod).

How do I subscribe?

If you have iTunes already, simply click on this icon.

What is a podcatcher?

It's a program that periodically checks all the podcasts you've subscribed to and downloads any new ones to your computer. Some, like iTunes, also prepare the files to be transferred to your portable player (like an iPod) at your convenience.

Then what?

Whenever you're ready, open your podcatcher and it will list the most recent files for each podcast you've subscribed to. If there's a new file, it will automatically start downloading it for you. Choose the file you want and then follow your podcatcher's instructions to either listen to it now, burn it to a CD or transfer it to your portable player. That's it!
